Angels to honor cancer survivors at tonight’s game

IRVINE (CNS) – Two cancer survivors treated at Orange County’s St. Joseph Health centers will be honored at tonight’s game between the Anaheim Angels and Minnesota Twins.

Daniel Mabbott, who was treated for stage IV lung cancer at St. Jude Medical Center’s Crosson Cancer Institute, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Several Angels players, including infielder John McDonald, catcher Hank Conger and pitcher Ernesto Frieri, are expected to wear headscarves during pregame warm-ups to honor cancer survivors.
