The Keep the Angels effort has launched a new website, and just in time.
For all our Angels Baseball fans, check out our new website at http://www.KeeptheAngels.com and visit the Take Action page, which allows you to send an email to the Anaheim City Council telling them you want them to make sure the Angels stay in Anaheim.
You can select from one of six standard emails, modify to suit your own ideas, and then click send, and your personal email is sent to all five City Council members and the City Manager as well.
Tell Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait, Mayor Pro Tem Gail Eastman and Council Members Kris Murray, Jordan Brandman and Lucille Kring we want a completed deal that includes the current framework, which will extend the lease with the City to 2057, ensure the Angels take on the responsibility of paying $150 million in much needed capital investments at Angel Stadium, and encourage the Angels, in partnership with the City, to develop a dining/entertainment/retail district next to the stadium similar to what we see around other major league stadiums.
Let your elected representatives know today that it’s one thing to say you want to keep the Angels; it’s another thing to negotiate a deal that makes them want to stay. Send an email urging the City Council to continue negotiating with our Angels and working to find the best deal that will benefit everyone, especially the residents they serve.
Let’s do this! Keep the Angels!
Keep the Angels Team
PS. Save the date for next Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 5pm, when the City Council holds its next meeting including public discussion on the Angels baseball negotiations. We want as many of our Angels fans as possible to attend and show their support for keeping the team in Anaheim.
